Summer Workshop: Reading the News as a Christian
July 17 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Thursdays | July 17 & July 31 | 6–8 PM
Led by: Kate Minnicks | Dinner + Dessert Provided
We’re constantly surrounded by headlines, opinions, and hot takes—so how do we make sense of the news without getting overwhelmed, cynical, or checked out?
Join us for a two-part summer workshop designed to help you navigate information overload with clarity and confidence. Together, we’ll explore what it looks like to approach the news with wisdom, discernment, and hope.
💡 What to Expect:
Session 1 – News Literacy: How to evaluate sources, spot bias, and think critically about what we consume.
Session 2 – Praying the News: A guided, interactive night where we’ll practice letting the news lead us—not to despair—but to prayerful engagement and gospel-rooted response.
This is important stuff—so we’re hitting pause on Missional Communities those weeks to make space for everyone to join us.
🍽️ Free dinner + dessert included (just RSVP so we can plan well).
Childcare will be provided but must be signed up for when you RSVP.
👉 RSVP here by July 13
Let’s cut through the noise, grow in confidence, and learn to engage the headlines with hearts grounded in Christ.
